Step 6 · Insert the New Furnace Filter

Locate the airflow direction arrow on the new filter. Insert the new filter into the compartment, making sure the arrow points in the same direction as the old filter's arrow (which is typically towards the furnace). Slide the filter in until it is fully seated.
